In Ugandan Gospel music, "Nkulembera" (or Nkulembela) is a powerful Luganda phrase that translates to "Lead me" or "Guide me". In a spiritual context, it is a desperate and heartfelt prayer of submission, asking God (Mukama) or Jesus (Yesu) to go ahead of the believer, direct their footsteps, and keep them from getting lost in the struggles of life.
