Agape Gospel Band (AGB) is a dynamic Tanzanian gospel music group formed with a vision of spreading the love of Christ through joyful, spirited music that blends praise, worship, and lively African rhythms like Sebene. Founder / Vision Bearer: John Peter Kazire (JP)
Agape Gospel Band began when JP responded to a spiritual calling. Inspired by Psalm 133 a scripture emphasizing unity and blessing he brought together musicians and vocalists who shared a passion for ministry through music.
Initially, the band performed at local events such as weddings, funerals, and graduation ceremonies. Their first major breakthrough came during the Upendo na Miujiza (Love and Miracles) conference, where their performance was so well received that they were invited to perform for the entire 8-day event a defining moment that boosted their profile and confirmed their calling.
